Fraser's Hill

FRASER'S HILL

Rising 1,500 meters above sea-level on the Titiwangsa mountain range of Peninsular Malaysia is Fraser's Hill. Named after a solitary Scottish pioneer, James Fraser, who set up a tin-ore trading post in the 1890s, it actually consists of seven hills. Fraser's Hill is truly an idyllic place for one to rest and to escape from not only the heat and humidity but also the hustle and bustle of city life. It is perhaps the prettiest of the Malaysian Hill resorts.

To get to Fraser's Hill from the Gap, one must go up a narrow, winding, one-way road for 8 km. Traffic up and down is controlled by a gate system with uphill traffic limited to odd hours, and downhill traffic to even hours.

There are hotels, resorts and chalets available on the hill. Tudor cottages sit among brilliantly coloured gardens shaded by lofty pine trees.

Fraser's Hill is popular with the locals and foreign tourists for its greenery, forest walks, fresh air and exotic flower gardens, not to mention the golfing facilities. It has many attractions within and around the area. There is a nature education centre where visitors can learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Bird watching is a very popular pastime and Fraser's Hill is the venue of the annual Bird Race which attracts many foreign omithologists.

How To Get There

Fraser's Hill, 100 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur

By Road : Fraser's Hill, 100 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur can be reached via the Karak Highway. Turn left at the Bentong junction and proceed to Teranum. At Teranum, take the left turn towards Gap before the short ascent up to Fraser's Hill.

Alternatively, one can also take the old trunk route heading towards Penang and turn off at Kuala Kubu Bharu for the drive to the Gap. The last 8 km from the Gap to the top of Fraser's Hill 9 scenic, narrow winding which carries one-way traffic 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Hari nie sume bertolak balik ke KL. Ade 5 buah kereta yang balik skali. Yang lain sume dah cabut awal2 pagi.. Sbb ade yang keje, so kena sampai KL b4 9 am.

Perjalanan arini mmg penuh dugaan. Kereta Abg Awie break down. Sungguhpun begitu, perjalanan kami dpt diteruskan setelah kereta itu ditinggalkan di Gambang utk dibaiki.

Dari Terengganu ke Cherating @ 2007

Breakfast dulu...
Dah makan, kena gi pantai...
Lerr.. jln la dulu.. Org ade kat blakang..
View all 14 photos...
Penutup Tahun 2007, bercuti-cuti di Pantai Timur. Semalam di Kuala Terengganu dan arini plak aku di Cherating. Kat Cherating ni sbb ade "family day" staff Proton Edar branch Setapak. Aku nie tersesat sbb ikut tunang aku.

Hari Pertama di Cherating mmg sungguh memenatkan. Bukannye penat apa, cuma setengah hari (dr pagi sampai la kul 1 ptg), ada xtvt kat pantai. Macam2 xtvt ade.. sampai dah tak larat nak layan dah..

Nak tau betapa funnye, layan la pic di atas. Kalau xrasa fun pun, buat2 la fun ek..

Enjoy..!!

Pemandangan pagi yang indah..
Di Jeti Seberang Takir...

Segar rasa bile bangun pagi kat Terengganu nie.. Dah lama xgi Terengganu sampaikan nak beli sarapan pun xtau katner. Pagi2 kuar cari breakfast sampai ke 1 jam. Dr sume org tido lg kat umah B.Joe sampai la sume dah siap mandi..

Hari nie mmg enjoy.. Kami sempat gi Pasar Payang menaiki bot dr Seberang Takir. Pastu cari keropok dan roti canai segera kat Losong. Then sempat gi GIANT K.Terengganu membeli TV. Memang berbaloi perjalanan arini.

Sepatutnye kul 12 tgh, aku ngan din kena bertolak ke Cherating. Tp perjalanan member2 dr KL tertangguh utk beberapa jam, so kitorang jln2 di Terengganu dulu. Sempat la pekena air kelapa ngan kepok kat Teluk Ketapang tepi lapangan terbang tuh..

enjoy sakan nampaknya... tganu memang tempat favorite pokcik jugak! Sat 12-Jan-2008 09:46
